Simon just doesn't come in content to talk and shake a few hands. Instead, he brings a full arsenal of smart concepts, compelling presentations, and a full-on, no-holds-barred generosity that is as authentic as it comes. He captured the hearts and minds of our students and faculty with insights on social media, creativity in a changing profession, and the new agency mindset that honors bravery and innovation. Those big ideas and the McDreamy accent and dashing figure did the trick, but there was something more basic at work: he's a genuinely nice guy who really knows his stuff and shares it with passion. Wonderful to witness. Bravo, Simon!

Simon personifies the power of social networking. While speaking on a panel Wiredrive sponsored about blogging and social media to the advertising community, he openly shared his experience and insight with the audience. Where most people with his credentials and knowledge would hoard information, Simon generously shares it with anyone smart enough to listen. "That's what it's all about", he says. It's inspiring and encouraging to meet someone who also believes it's possible to make a difference in this world, and is using new media tools to do it.

Wow! Simon just spoke at todays’ METal Breakfast –- a weekly gathering I host in Los Angeles for alpha influencers in the Media, Entertainment and Technology sectors — and he rocked the house. This is group of guys who see right through people without substance, and Simon was solid! I watched 40 guys listen intently, take notes (that’s when I know the meeting is going extremely well), and ask numerous questions. And it did not stop there; Simon was kind enough to hang out and answer questions during the “after-meeting” for a while, too. He shared his stories and experience with humor, provided excellent insight on branding, and gave great hints and tips on how to successfully use social media to build and maintain your corporate or personal brand. Thank you, Simon!

I just wanted to say thank you for coming in today and speaking to my class. You left everyone in the room chomping at the bit for a career in advertising. Your messages of "Getting a message across is your hands now. You can be creative on your couch and make it within six months time," and "State of the art in service of state of the heart," really hit home with a lot of people, myself included.
